The purpose of leafdeck.com is simply to share the fun, carry on the discussion and hopefully, see others create patterned outdoor areas of their own.

Trex Transcend® deck material and Feeney CableRail® were selected  for their durability and simple beauty. The railing posts were made of Western Red Cedar finished with Penofin® Penetrating Oil Finish. Olympic Maximum® Stain-Sealants were used to finish the ends of the cut boards and to darken the under-structure.

After four years, we have not had a single disappointment with the materials used.

Designing and building the leaf deck was both challenging and fun. An ordinary deck could have been built sooner, but the view to our backyard seemed to deserve a grand entrance.  It called for an outdoor space that drew us away from the confines of the house. Now we feel more freedom to breathe, watch the seasons, listen to the sounds of nature and sense the invitation to unwind.
